ME AND YOU :: 2006-2009
Spurred by the acquisition of an old camera in 2006 passed on to me by my mother, I began making pictures of people around me: family members, close friends, and acquaintances. I wanted to see how the people close to me looked in photographs. I quickly began to realize that in making these pictures I was using the camera to create a visual archive of my relationships with the range of characters in my life. I sought to use photography to attach something physical to these relationships.
